Who are we?

AMVOA is a fully equipped home based office in Thurrock, Essex, managed by Andrea Marchant, a freelance secretary and administrator with over 20 years’ experience in the City of London and Essex in the property, financial services and legal sectors, and Patrick Marchant, a former account manager for various retail and construction companies.

Why a virtual assistant?

First of all, it’s important to know that we are here to assist you, and although this can be hard when you don’t see a smiling face every morning, we can do almost anything that a regular assistant can do, more often than not at a lower cost than the true cost of employing a traditional assistant who works at your own premises. The only difference is the way in which you pass your work to us. Instead of hitting the intercom button, just use your speed dial; and instead of handing over a paper folder, attach your file in an email to us.

It's important to avoid the "it’s-easier-to-do-it-myself" trap. The first time you ask us to assist you, you may need to give us some additional instructions to ensure that we step in line with the way you want to work, but the next time, we will know and you will be able to delegate your tasks to us and your time will be saved.
